Hello! Merhaba! Hej!
I’m Ahsen. I was born and raised in a small town in Turkey called Demirci. I took my bachelor’s degree from the Industrial Design Department at Middle East Technical University, Turkey, in 2014; and my master’s degree from Advanced Product Design Programme, Umea Institute of Design, Sweden. I have been working both in consultancy and in-house environments in varying industries from healthcare to consumer electronics.
I am always curious to learn new technologies and design methods. And I love working with constraints and in interdisciplinary project setups.
Human behavior and its underlying drivers fascinate me both as a person and as a designer. I like to learn and explore in the design process, taking every project as a new learning opportunity.
I enjoy working hands-on, stepping away from the screen, and having a more tangible outcome at the end of the day. This is also true outside of my work. I do gardening; growing fruits and vegetables whenever I have the space to do so. And recently I have started to do pottery and enjoying it quite a lot.
